Exhibition Galeria Azur - Madrid

What an experience: my first exhibition in Madrid! I had the chance to see my painting between other great art pieces and meet inspiring artists. Read my full blog for the opening event and some tips for dining in Madrid!

'PARADOX' Opening Event

This was my first trip without my baby (11 months). I had my partner and two friends travelling with me. We rented an apartment in the city center, close to Galeria Azur, where we stayed for 2 night.

The opening event was on our first evening in Madrid. We dropped of my certificates just before the opening and there I saw my 'Marlin' painting through the window. I was so excited and could not wait for the opening event to start. After a small drink in the area, we headed towards opening of PARADOX.

The event was crowded and enabled me to meet a lot of other artists exhibiting for PARADOX. I had some inspiring and interesting conversations which will definitely help me grow as artist in terms of self-confident, techniques and materials.

The PARADOX exhibition runs from the 7th of October until the 7th of November 2021. My art is also available via Artsper and Artsy (see links below).

Madrid tips

Next to visiting the well-known tourist attractions and art museums, we also visited some restaurants with amazing food which I would like to share. Just because I love food and I can't keep this behind for you:

  • La Cabana Argentina: Highly recommended steak house on Tripadvisor so we could not skip this on. Wow! Perfectly cooked meat and amazing wines to supplement your meal. If you are a meat lover and staying in the city center, this steak-house is definitely worth visiting.
  • Bibo: An Andalusian restaurant by Dani Garcia, a three star Michelin chef. We tasted his passion in each course. What's not to like on the menu? We all ordered different dishes and all of the dishes were creative, pure and so tasteful. I will definitely go back here to try the rest of the menu.
  • Gioia: This Italian restaurant is close to Galeria Azur and we went in due to the Michelin recommendation. We tried the tasting menu and were surprised by the intense flavors of each dish. If you are a lover of umami, don't skip this restaurant.

Galería Azur is a vanity gallery. Google it. Then google art s c a m Galeria Azur. Educate yourself and save your money!
Don't want to believe me? Ask all of the artists who have lost their money and didn't sell anything. Ask art critics why they don't appreciate vanity galleries.
